ATHLETIC BACKGROUND

Asia’s running career extends from cross-country, mid-distance and sprints. She holds a record at every school she attended, eventually making her mark as sprinter and excelled at Eastern Michigan University.

As a freshman, Asia blew the competition away winning the 400m in her first-ever collegiate meet. Rawls upped her game the following season after being victorious in both the 400m and the 4x400m relay, earning her First Team All-MAC honors as her team hoisted the Indoor MAC Championship Trophy for the first time since 2000. Her commitment and hard work during her junior year campaign elevated her to the national stage as she donned the Green and White at the Outdoor NCAA Championships in 2012 in the 400m Hurdles. Rawls remained an integral member of Eagles' track squad as a senior, cracking the top-10 in both the 400m and the 400m hurdles at multiple meets.
